Privacy Policy

Sparkles-N-Shine Cleaning LLC, which does business as Sparkles-N-Shine Cleaning ("we" and "us"), is a family-owned cleaning company based in Thornton, CO. This policy explains what information we collect through this website, when you book or pay, and when we provide service in your home or business, why we collect it, who helps us process it, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain language on purpose.
This policy works together with our Client Service Agreement and Terms & Conditions, which every booking follows.
Information You Give Us
We collect the personal information that you type into one of our forms and choose to send, that you give us when you book and pay, and that you share with us by phone, text, or email. Here is what each form asks for:
- Quote form: your name, email, phone, and city, the service address (street address, unit or apartment, and ZIP code), the type of cleaning you want, the cleaning level or how often you want service, the square footage of the space, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, any extras you select, your preferred date and time window, and any notes you add. For commercial, post-construction, pre-listing, apartment, and short term rental requests we also ask about the space, such as the type of business or property and your timing.
- Contact form: your name, email, phone, and your message.
- Gift card request form: your name, email, and phone, the name of the person receiving the gift and, if you provide them, their email and phone, the gift amount, the occasion, your personal message, and how you want the gift delivered.
- Job application form: your name, email, phone, and city, whether you have reliable transportation, your cleaning experience, when you can start, and anything you choose to tell us about yourself.
We collect your service address to provide your service and to verify whether you are a new customer. Please do not put sensitive information such as Social Security numbers, bank details, or alarm codes you are not comfortable sharing into any form. If you give us information about another person, such as a gift recipient, please make sure they are comfortable with that.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to prepare your quote or estimate, schedule and perform your cleaning, take payment, verify whether you qualify for the first-time customer discount, answer your questions, fulfill gift card requests, review job applications, resolve disputes, and keep ordinary business records.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Photos, Videos, and Call Recordings
We take photos and videos before, during, and after service. We may use and publish them for business purposes, including our website, social media, advertising, printed and direct mail marketing, quality control, training, and evidence in any dispute. Our Terms and Conditions explain this permission, and we are not required to remove content once it has been published.
Before we publish any photo or video, we remove, blur, or crop anything that identifies you or your household, including:
- people's faces, including children, unless that person has given separate permission;
- your street address, house number, and license plates; and
- mail, documents, IDs, account or payment information, prescription labels, family photos, and other personal details.
Our videos do not record private conversations that our team is not part of. We may also record phone and video calls with you for quality, training, and our records.
Payments and Your Saved Card
Card payments are processed by Stripe. When you pay online, your card is saved securely with Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe, and we never see or store your full card number.
We use the saved card only for the charges described in Section 5 of our Terms and Conditions: additional services or extra time you approve, each visit of a recurring plan you set up, cancellation, lockout, or trip fees, dispute fees, and the first-time discount amount if you have booked with us before. We send a receipt for every charge. You may ask us to remove your saved card at any time, unless an approved charge is still pending.
Customer Records
When you book and pay online, we keep a customer record with your name, phone number, email address, and service address, along with your booking details. We use your phone number, email address, and service address with last name to verify whether you are a new customer, because the first-time discount is one per household.
We also keep a record that you accepted our Terms and Conditions, including which version you accepted and when.
Emails, Calls, and Text Messages
When you contact us or book with us, we may call, text, and email you about your estimates, appointments, payments, and service. Message and data rates may apply.
By contacting us or doing business with us, you also agree that we may email, call, or text you about our services, offers, and promotions. You do not need to sign up. You can stop marketing messages at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email, replying STOP to any text, or simply telling us. We honor every request within 10 business days. Stopping marketing messages does not stop service messages about a booking.
We send automated promotional text messages only if you separately check the optional box in the quote form. Agreeing is never required to buy our services. Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to opt out. We record whether the box was checked, when, and which consent wording was shown.
Companies That Help Us Run Our Business
We rely on a small number of service providers. Each one receives only what it needs to do its job:
- Email delivery: when you submit a form, the information is sent to our business inbox as an email through Resend, an email delivery provider. Resend processes the contents of that message in order to deliver it.
- Card payments: Stripe processes your payment and stores your saved card, as described above.
- Customer database: our customer and booking records are stored in a secure database hosted by Supabase.
- Website hosting: this website is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information needed to deliver pages to you and to protect the site, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested.
- Maps: the service area map uses map images from OpenStreetMap. When the map loads, your browser requests those images directly from OpenStreetMap servers, which means OpenStreetMap receives your IP address and basic browser information.
If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer, we may share your signed completion form, booking records, photos, videos, and communications with your card issuer. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of our customers, our team, and our business.
Cookies and Storage in Your Browser
This website does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics tools. We use only the following:
- Language preference cookie: if you use the English and Spanish switch, we save a small cookie named sns_lang so the site remembers your language. It holds only "en" or "es", lasts up to one year, and is set only when you click the switch.
- Form progress: while you fill out the quote form or the gift card form, your progress is saved in your browser so a refresh or the back button does not erase your work. It stays on your device, is cleared when you submit the form or close the browser tab, and is not sent to us until you submit.
- Payment step: when the online payment step loads, Stripe may set its own cookies to process your payment securely and to help prevent fraud.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work. It will simply not remember your language choice.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide your service, resolve disputes, and meet our legal, tax, and accounting needs. When we no longer need it, we delete it. Job applications that do not lead to a hire are kept only as long as needed to complete hiring for the position.
How We Protect Information
Your personal information stays private. This website is served over an encrypted connection, form submissions are read only by the people in our business who need them to serve you, and our customer records are kept in a secure database. No method of sending or storing information is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take reasonable care with what you share.
Your Choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also ask us to stop marketing messages or to remove your saved card. To make a request, use the contact details at the bottom of this page. We will confirm your identity using the contact details we already have, and we will respond as soon as we reasonably can.
We may need to keep some records, such as records of completed services, payments, Terms acceptance, and the details we use to verify new customer status, to resolve disputes and meet legal, tax, and accounting needs. Photos and videos that have already been published, with identifying details removed, are not taken down.
Children
This website is meant for adults arranging cleaning services. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to Other Websites
Our site links to other websites, such as Google and Facebook, where you can read or leave a review. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Changes to This Policy
If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. If we add analytics or advertising, we will describe them here before we turn them on.
